Hilary Satchwell

Hilary is a Director of Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design, a specialist practice where planners, urban designers and architects come together to make good places happen.  Working with public sector bodies, private landowners and their teams, Hilary develops and manages urban regeneration proposals and delivers large scale masterplans, drawing on 20 years’ experience as an architect and designer and placemaking specialist.

At the heart of all her work is a focus on briefing, strategic definition and setting up projects effectively so that good design and placemaking come through clearly in the way development progresses. Clients value Hilary’s creative leadership, design advice and ability to draw together the often conflicting objectives of complex projects involving multi-architect and multi-disciplinary teams to create a clear, strategic vision.

Hilary sits on the RIBA’s Construction Leadership Group and is a member of Design Review Panels in the London Boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham and for Design South East.
